Pyro Electric Achieves IEC 61508 SIL Certification for RTD & Thermocouple Series

Pyro Electric, headquartered in Goa, India, has successfully achieved IEC 61508 Proven-in-Use SIL certification for its RTD and Thermocouple product series 100–900.
The independent certification was performed by Risknowlogy and is based on real operational field data, extensive reliability analysis, and full compliance with the requirements of IEC 61508:2010.
This certification demonstrates that Pyro Electric’s temperature sensors are suitable for use in Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) in demanding industrial environments.
