The VALMEC ball valve series FB1, FB4, FB6 and FB7 are SIL certified according to IEC 61508. The certification includes the following:
  • Safety requirements specification
  • Hardware requirements
  • Reliability requirements
The standalone the ball valves achieve SIL 1 for the above requirements. In combination with other equipment and in HFT>0 the ball valves can achieve up to SIL 3.
