Scope: Valve 1231384, a high-pressure valve manufactured by BHDT, has received independent functional safety certification from Risknowlogy in accordance with IEC 61508:2010. Certification confirms that the valve fulfils the applicable functional safety requirements for use as a final element in safety-instrumented functions.

In service, valve 1231384 provides tight shutoff for high-pressure chemical and petrochemical processes. Its safety function is to close the valve on demand within a defined response time, operating in the low-demand mode. The valve is integrated into a final element assembly together with an actuator, a solenoid, and the related pneumatic supply components.
