Risknowlogy certified the WENLEN HIPPS-SSV safety system. This safety system can carry out five safety functions depending on the chosen configuration. The certification was done according to IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. The certification included the verification and assessment of: 
- Safety requirements specification
- Hardware requirements
- Hardware reliability

Depending on the chosen safety functions and the actual architecture the HIPPS-SSV can be used up to SIL 3.
