Compliance Case – Library
The Library section of the Compliance Case module is used to manage Compliance Sets within a project. It acts as the connection between reusable compliance checklists and their application in Compliance and Review activities.
Before compliance or review activities can start, the required Compliance Sets must be imported into the project library.
Purpose of the Library
The purpose of the Library is to:
- Provide access to reusable Compliance Sets (checklists).
- Allow selection of Compliance Sets relevant to the project.
- Control whether a Compliance Set is used for Compliance, Review, or both.
The Library does not contain project answers or reviews. It only defines which Compliance Sets are available for use in the project.
Compliance Sets
A Compliance Set is a predefined checklist consisting of one or more compliance items. Each item represents a requirement, question, or verification point that must be addressed during compliance or review activities.
Compliance Sets are maintained centrally and can be reused across multiple projects.
Sources of Compliance Sets
Compliance Sets can be imported into a project from the following sources:
- Account Library
Compliance Sets created and maintained within your organization. - Risknowlogy Library
Standard Compliance Sets provided by Risknowlogy.
This allows organizations to combine internal standards with industry or methodology-based checklists.
Importing Compliance Sets
To make a Compliance Set available in a project, it must be imported into the Library.
- Open the Library section within the Compliance Case module.
- Select Import.
- Choose one or more Compliance Sets from the available libraries.
- Confirm the import.
Once imported, the Compliance Set appears in the project’s Library list.

Assigning Compliance Sets
Each Compliance Set in the Library can be assigned to one or both of the following areas:
- Compliance
- Review
This assignment controls where the Compliance Set will be visible and used within the project.
- If assigned to Compliance, the Compliance Set appears in the Compliance section and can be used for structured compliance execution.
- If assigned to Review, the Compliance Set can be applied during document review activities.
A Compliance Set can be assigned to both Compliance and Review if required.
Effect of Library Configuration
Changes made in the Library directly affect the availability of Compliance Sets in other sections:
- Only Compliance Sets assigned to Compliance appear in the Compliance section.
- Only Compliance Sets assigned to Review are available during document review.
Removing a Compliance Set from the Library does not delete it from the source library, but it will no longer be available for use within the project.
Next Steps
After importing and assigning Compliance Sets, the next steps are:
- Use the Compliance section to assign compliance items to levels and users.
- Use the Review section to perform document reviews.
These sections are described in detail on their respective manual pages.
