Founded on February 2, 2002, by Dr. Michel Houtermans, Risknowlogy has been driven by a steadfast mission to make our home planet safer. We believe that a safe world contributes to happiness, well-being, and success, aligning with Aristotle's view that "happiness is the meaning and purpose of life." Time to get international

Moved our HQ to Zug, Switzerland

After a few years Risknowlogy was ticking like a Swiss clock. Customers from all over Europe and the world. Time to move the headquarters to Zug, Switzerland. Central and nice.

First

Functional safety manager

Dr Michel Houtermans becomes the first ever certified functional safety manager in the world. He was first exposed to FSM in 1994 and is still promoting it today.

02-2002

Were it all started

Founded in schinveld, the Netherlands

On 2-2-2002 the Risknowlogy company was founded in the Netherlands by Dr Michel J.M. Houtermans. The men of Schinveld all worked in the local mines owned by DSM or Dutch State Mines. When the mines closed DSM became a petrochemical company. The need for process safety was born.
