Zug, Switzerland – Risknowlogy certified three ultra high pressure valves designed and manufactured by BHDT, Kappenberg, Austria. BHDT operates in the chemical and petrochemical industry. The valve assemblies certified for this project will be used in a fertiliser plant.
SIL certification ultra high pressure valves BHDT
The valves are part of three subsystem assemblies consisting of solenoids, actuators and the ultra high pressure valves. The certification of the ultra high pressure valves was carried out according to IEC 61508:2010. The certification of the final subsystem assembly was carried out according to IEC 61511:2016. Both certifications included the verification and assessment of:
- Functional safety management
- Safety requirements specification
- Hardware requirements
- Reliability requirements
- Basic safety requirements
- User documentation requirements
