On 3 March 2017, Mr. Fiorenzo Calò became the first Risknowlogy certified HAZOP Chairman and FS Master® in Italy.
Mr. Fiorenzo Calò is an independent Process Safety Engineer, HAZOP Chairman and LOPA facilitator. He has over 30 years of experiences in the industry and works for world-class projects and international companies. He has a Master degree in Chemical Engineering, he is a chartered professional engineer and a certified Functional Safety Engineer to name but a few of his credentials..
What did Mr. Calò achieve?
To become a Risknowlogy Certified Master he completed the Risknowlogy personal development program and satisfactorily met all the criteria of the certification scheme for HAZOP Chairman. The eligibility conditions to the program include formal education, knowledge, demonstrable practical experience, references and interview. Mr. Calò applied for the Master certificate which meant he had to prove over 3000 working hours as HAZOP Chairman, and he did. He can now carry the title FS Master® which helps him demonstrate competence according to functional safety standards like IEC 61511 and IEC 61508.
What is the importance of a certification?
There is no doubt in Mr. Calò’s mind that he knows everything about HAZOP; he has an in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in the field. His resume proves it! However, in today’s world, projects requirements and client’s confidence call for evidences that the right profiles needed for critical tasks are selected. What is Risknowlogy HAZOP Chairman – FS Master® certification?
The Risknowlogy HAZOP Chairman – FS Master® is part of the Risknowlogy Competence program. It has been created for professionals working in the risk, reliability and safety industries, and its scope is to demonstrate one’s competence in reference to Functional Safety (FS) standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 61511, EN 50128 and others.
