A Certified Railway Validator has an important role within railway projects. The Validator is responsible for Validation plan and and its correct implementation. He or she validates the adequacy of the documented evidence, the correctness of the verification and including, where necessary the risks associated with deviations.

The Validator role is a requirements in the following standards:

  • EN 50126
  • EN 50128
  • EN 50129

Get your Railway Validator competency certified

If you are interested in becoming a Certified  Railway Validator then you need to comply with the following requirements

  1. Submit proof of formal training in EN 5012X standards
  2. Two independent references that confirm that you have/had the position of Railway Validator
  3. Two different Validator case studies demonstrating that you where the Validator
  4. Professional: >40 hours of verifiable Validator project hours,
  5. Expert: >1500 hours of verifiable Validator Project hours, or
  6. Master: >3000 hours of verifiable Validator Project hours
  7. Interview with a railway expert

The certification process

  1. You register your intent to get certified and pay the Registration Fee
  2. You submit the above required proof for points 1-3 and 4 or 5
  3. Your application is reviewed, followed by a feedback
  4. Once all is compliant, an interview is scheduled
  5. The Certification Fee is paid after the successful interview
  6. The Role Certificate is issued and your Safety Passport is updated
