Our personal development program certifies people and gives them a Knowledge, Role or Field Certificate in the field of risk, reliability and functional safety. These certifications come with a Certification Title. These Certification Titles have been carefully selected to reflect truly what the certification represents. We offer the people the following Certification Titles:

  • Certified Operator;
  • Certified Technician;

  • Certified Expert;
  • Certified Master.

Certified Operator

Operators work in the control room of a plant or factory. The operator operators the equipment that makes the plant or factory produce products. As such they also deal with the operation of the safety systems.

Certified Operator is a title given as part of Knowledge Certification, i.e., after passing the examination at the end of a operator training course.

Certified Technician

Technicians work in the “field” of a plant or factory, i.e., they maintain, repair and test equipment including equipment related to safety systems.

Certified Technician is a title given as part of Knowledge Certification, i.e., after passing the examination at the end of a technician training course.

Certified Specialist

A specialist is a person who specialises in a particular field of study. At Risknowlogy we use the word Specialist for those people that are not Operators nor Technicians but that are involved in the design and improvement of the plant or factory.

Certified Specialist is a title given as part of Knowledge Certification, i.e., after passing the examination at the end of a specialist training course.

Certified Professional

The word Professional is defined as a person who gets paid for work. At Risknowlogy we use the word Professional for anybody who works in a particular role at a plant or factory.

Certified Professional is a title given as part of Role and Field Certification, i.e., after demonstrating over 40 hours in that role or field.

Certified Expert

The word Expert is defined as a person who as special knowledge or skills gained from experience. At Risknowlogy we use the word Expert for a person with more experience than a Professional.

Certified Expert is a title given as part of Role and Field Certification, i.e., after demonstrating over 1500 hours in that role or field.

Certified Master

The word Master is defined as a person who has very great knowledge or skills gained from experience. At Risknowlogy we use the word Expert for a person with more experience than an Expert.

Certified Master is a title given as part of Role and Field Certification, i.e., after demonstrating over 3000 hours in that role or field.
