Risknowlogy India organised the 15th TUV Functional Safety Professional course in Mumbai. Delegates came from BPCL, GE, Jacobs, Saral Controls, Reliance, and Invensys Schneider. For three days the delegates were trained in the concepts of Functional Safety and SIL according to IEC 61511. IEC 61511 is an international standard dealing with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and safety instrumented functions (SIF). The standard requires professionals and engineers to be competent and that is exactly what this course helps you to demonstrate.
The Functional Safety for Safety Instrumented System Professionals course is part of the SILComp® training and certification program. Delegates need to follow a three day training and conduct of the forth day in an exam. The exam takes four hours and consists of 60 multiple choice questions and 25 open questions. When the professional scores 75% on the exam he or she receives a Safety Passport and a TUV Certificate for life.
